Reminder: Playoff Setup
« on: December 08, 2009, 08:53:26 PM »
As we enter the postseason time of the year in fantasy football land, I thought it would be a good time for a few reminders about the postseason setup in MFL History.

On MyFantasyLeague:
  • Seed your playoff teams per your league rules
  • DO NOT create individual game matchups -- let the playoff functionality at MFL handle the schedule

On MFL History:
Everything you need to do happens on the Admin/Maintain Season page.

Edit Qualifiers/Champs
  • Check the box next to each of your division champs (and conference champs, if applicable)
  • In the playoff seeds column, ONLY enter the playoff seed for those teams whose records you want to count in your "Playoff" records (for many leagues, this is the teams in your "championship" bracket). Do not enter seeds for your toilet bowl/consolation games.
  • Following the conclusion of the playoffs, return to this screen and check the box next to your league champion (and toilet bowl champ, if applicable)

Edit Matchups
New games are automatically added to MFL History once a day. After you set up your playoff brackets on MyFantasyLeague, wait a day or so to select your playoff matchups on MFL History. On this Edit Matchups screen, select the game type for each game.
  • Playoff: Games that you want to count as part of your official playoff records
  • Toilet: Games that you want counted in your Toilet Bowl/Consolation records
  • Other: Games that you do not want included in either your playoff or consolation records (these games CAN be included in records when using the record designer)

If you have any questions, please post them to the Support forum.

Good luck in your playoffs!
