How the League Championship Record is calculated
« on: July 24, 2016, 02:38:49 PM »
This question has come up a few times this offseason so I wanted to highlight how MFL History determines each team's won-loss record in championship games:

It uses a combination of several things:
1. It uses the number of playoff weeks value from your MFLH season settings to determine the final week of the season -- when the championship game would be occuring
2. Based on that value, it looks for games tagged as "playoff" type games in that week
3. It also uses the "league champion" value from "Edit Qualifiers/Champs" to determine which Playoff game type game that week included someone who won the league championship

Note: This is a common thing with leagues that have their championship game in week 16, but have MyFantasyLeague set to calculate results through week 17. Based on the values MFL History gets from the MFL feeds, we will set your number of regular season weeks correctly, but then assume that the number of playoff weeks is 17 - # of regular weeks. For a three week playoff setup, this will result in an incorrect setup of 13 regular weeks and 4 playoff weeks. You just need to change that 4 to a 3.
